How to Care for Me

Keeping your washed oak dining table looking lovely is easy with a little routine care:

• Weekly dusting – Give the wood veneer top a quick weekly dust with a dry microfibre cloth to clear away crumbs
• Use placemats & coasters – Heat‑resistant trivets, placemats and coasters help protect the surface from hot plates, mugs and wet glasses
• Deal with spills promptly – If a drink spills during a busy meal, blot it up straightaway with a clean cloth and avoid rubbing
• Gentle cleaning – For sticky spots, use a tiny drop of mild washing‑up liquid in warm water. Wring your cloth until barely damp and wipe with the grain
• Avoid harsh cleaners – Skip furniture polish, aerosol sprays, harsh degreasers and abrasive pads as they can damage the veneer
• Occasional conditioning – A natural beeswax or specialist veneer care wax every 6 to 9 months helps keep the washed oak hydrated
• Metal base care – Dust the black metal legs regularly. For deeper cleaning, use warm soapy water and dry immediately to prevent water spots
