Furniture Outlet is proudly family‑run. The Bellis family has been part of the business since day one, shaping its values, culture and customer‑first approach.
Leadership Team:
Ianto “Ian” Bellis – Managing Director & Founder
Ianto Bellis founded Furniture Outlet in 2007. His first name reflects his family’s Welsh roots, though the shorter “Ian” is what most customers and colleagues know him as. Launching the business during the financial crash, he built it through sheer entrepreneurship, hard work and a clear belief that great furniture shouldn’t come with long waits or high mark‑ups.
Since then, he has grown the company from a single shop into a fast‑expanding retailer with five stores and a long‑term plan to reach 20+ locations. His leadership was pivotal during the company’s ‘phoenix’ moment in 2023, when a fire destroyed the main distribution centre on Christmas Eve. Ianto and his team led a rapid recovery that saw the business bounce back stronger than ever.
He remains hands‑on, visiting stores regularly and championing a culture of teamwork, transparency and customer‑first thinking.
Sally Bellis – Director
Sally Bellis has been part of Furniture Outlet from day one, working alongside her husband Ianto as the business has grown from a single shop into a fast‑expanding retail brand. Known for her calm, pragmatic approach, she still steps in to support stores whenever needed, often covering manager shifts or helping frontline teams during busy periods. Sally also leads the company’s charity partnerships and community projects across the areas we serve, ensuring the business gives back to the local neighbourhoods that have supported it over the years.
Lloyd Bellis – Head Buyer
Ianto and Sally’s son Lloyd Bellis has been part of the business his entire life, from helping sell real Christmas trees at the Leigh‑on‑Sea store during the festive season to working weekends in the warehouse as a teenager. Now part of the full‑time team, he leads the company’s buying operations, bringing a hands‑on understanding of what customers look for. In early 2025, he took a six‑month sabbatical to travel with his girlfriend through New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam, returning with fresh ideas and a renewed perspective.

Dave Cordery – Area Stores Manager
Dave joined the company in 2020 and brings years of furniture retail experience, including senior store roles at Harveys Furniture and Oak Furniture Land. He oversees store operations across London and the South East, focusing on team development, customer service and operational excellence.
