Velvet might look fancy, but it’s easier to care for than you’d think, especially if you stay on top of the little things. Here’s how to keep Georgia looking its best:

• Vacuum gently using a soft brush attachment to lift dust and crumbs without flattening the pile. Always move in the direction of the nap
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing – it can push stains deeper into the fabric
• Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. If your room gets strong light, consider sheer curtains or shaded placement
• Lift the ottoman base with both hands if possible. The gas-lift mechanism works best when the mattress isn’t weighed down by heavy items
• For stubborn stains or deep cleans, a professional upholstery service is your safest bet
