Our small item delivery service costs £9.99 and is available for items like mirrors, wall art, lamps and other similar decor across all of the Mainland UK. We’ll deliver your item straight to your doorstep or the main entrance of your building, using a trusted courier service.
We’ll also send you tracking details once your order is sent out so you can easily follow its journey.
This small item delivery service does not include unpacking, assembly or taking away packaging for recycling.

One of our friendly two-person teams will expertly deliver, assemble and position your item exactly as you desire, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience from start to finish. We will also remove and dispose of all the packaging materials in the most eco conscious manner possible.

After You Order a Large Item: Arranging Your Delivery
When you order a large item from our website, please make sure your email and phone number are correct. Our team will use these to contact you to arrange your delivery.
After your order is confirmed, we’ll get in touch to agree on a delivery & assembly date. This is usually within 3 to 7 working days. We’ll also give you a 3-hour time slot for that day. Say goodbye to waiting around all day for your order to arrive!
We deliver large items 6 days a week, between 8am and 5pm.
On Delivery Day: Your Large Item Delivery & Assembly
On the day your large item is set to arrive, please make sure there’s enough clear access space for our two-person team to bring in and assemble your furniture. The practical tips in our ‘Smooth Delivery & Assembly Experience’ guide (see below) will help you with this.
We deliver to your room of choice (ground, first, or second floor only). If you live higher up, your building must have a working lift big enough to safely carry the item.
You, or someone you trust, must be home to check and sign for your delivery. Our team cannot leave any item unsigned in a porch or anywhere else.
Our delivery team will unbox, assemble and place your furniture in your chosen room. They will also take all the packaging away with them.
If you decide not to have our team assemble your furniture at home, please know that this will void your returns and warranty (guarantee) policies for that item.
Failed Delivery & Assembly – Large Items
Please be advised that if our two-person delivery & assembly team do not have the necessary access to complete the delivery to your room of choice, a failed delivery charge of £99 will be deducted from your total refund. Our product listings include the dimensions of the items and their packaging for your reference, so please measure the appropriate door frames, hallways and so on to ensure there is sufficient access for a successful delivery to your room of choice prior to placing an order.
Should your delivery fail for any other reason, such as the absence of someone to sign for your order at the time of delivery, and you require a redelivery of the item, a redelivery fee of £69 will be applicable.
Parking & Parking Permits – Large Items
If your residence is subject to parking restrictions, we kindly request that customers obtain the necessary parking permit in advance. This helps our delivery drivers adhere to local regulations and ensures a prompt and efficient delivery process.
Customers residing in properties with parking restrictions are required to have the following:
- Parking Permit (if required) – Obtain a valid parking permit in advance.
- Suitable Parking for Large Vans – Ensure there is a reasonable parking space available for large vans during delivery.
Customers acknowledge their responsibility to pay for fines resulting from inadequate parking arrangements or misinformation provided to Furniture Outlet.
Our drivers have the right to refuse delivery if the parking options or information provided by the customer do not align with the actual situation on-site. This is to guarantee the safety of our drivers and the integrity of our delivery process. In such cases, a failed delivery fee of £99 will be applied.
Finance Orders – Large Items
For finance orders featuring certain larger items, such as sofas and beds, Furniture Outlet will request a pre-delivery £99 holding fee via PayPal or bank transfer. This fee will only be charged if our delivery team do not have the necessary access to complete the delivery to your property and room of choice. Otherwise, the £99 holding fee will be fully refunded once the delivery has been successfully completed.
Please note that finance orders where the delivery and application addresses do not match can impact the delivery date. The additional time to correct any application mismatches may result in a delivery delay of up to one week.
Returns – Large Items
Please be advised that returns made at the time of Delivery & Assembly for large items will incur a charge of £99, deducted from your total refund.

What Happens With Mixed Orders (Large & Small Items)
If you order both a large item (like a sofa) and a small item (like a mirror) together, you’ll only pay £69.00 for our Large Item Delivery & Assembly service. This covers assembly of the large item. Small items in the same order will arrive at the same time, but they don’t include assembly.
Damages – Small Item Delivery
We take great care when sending out your small items. But, very occasionally, things can get damaged on their journey. If your small item arrives damaged, please let us know straight away so we can help.
Here’s what to do if your small item is damaged:
- Take photos: Get clear pictures of the damage and the packaging it came in.
- Email us: Send your photos to customerservice@furnitureoutletstores.co.uk.
- Include your details: In your email, please make sure to tell us –
- What’s damaged (a short description).
- Your full name.
- Your order number.
- Your email address and a phone number where we can reach you during the day.
- Report quickly: Please report any damage within 48 hours of your delivery. This helps us sort things out quickly.
- Keep the packaging: Please hold onto the original packaging for now, as we might need it for returns or exchanges.
Once we receive your email and photos, our friendly customer service team will review them and get back to you quickly to help find the best solution.
Damages – Large Item Delivery & Assembly
Our delivery team will be happy to help you check your large item when it arrives. We want to make sure you’re completely happy with your furniture right from the start.

- Check with the team: Please take a good look at your large item with our delivery team before they leave.
- Refuse if damaged: If you see any clear damage, simply tell our team you can’t accept that item.

If your item is damaged, we’ll offer you a choice: we can arrange an exchange (if we have the item in stock), suggest a suitable alternative, or process a full refund if that’s what you prefer.
Tips To Ensure A Smooth Large Item Delivery & Assembly Experience
We want your large item delivery & assembly to go as smoothly as possible on the day. To help our two-person team, please make sure there’s enough space at your home to safely move your furniture from our van to your chosen room.
- Clear the way: Make sure there’s enough space at your property for our two-person team to safely move your furniture from their van to your chosen room.
- Directions (if needed): If your home is hard to find by satnav or Google Maps, please give us clear directions when you place your order. Also, double-check your contact details on your order confirmation to make sure we can reach you or the person receiving the delivery.
- Parking & Access: Is there suitable parking for our delivery van and a clear path to your home? If there are parking restrictions, please book your delivery slot for when our van can legally park. If not, you might have to pay extra costs for fines or issues.
- Measure up: Use a tape measure to check that all doors, hallways, stairs, landings, and corridors are wide and tall enough for your furniture to pass through safely. For example, if a sofa needs to turn into a room, make sure there’s enough space for it to maneuver.
- Lifts: If our team needs to use a lift, please make sure it’s working and big enough to safely carry your furniture when its doors are open. The lift’s dimensions must be larger than the height, width, and depth of your furniture.
- Clear the path: Before delivery, please remove anything that could get in the way or be damaged, like doors, light fittings, radiators, shelves, loose rugs, or other furniture. Our team can’t do this for you, so it needs to be done before they arrive.
- Protect your floors: It’s your job to put down floor protection from your entrance to the room where your furniture will go.
- Move fragile items: Also, move any decorations or other objects out of the way that could accidentally get damaged during the delivery and assembly process.
- Keep kids & pets safe: Please make sure your children and pets stay at a safe distance from our team while they are working.
- Packaging: Our team will take away any unwanted packaging as part of our delivery & assembly service. However, we cannot take away your old furniture. You can usually arrange for your local council or a charity to collect old furniture for free or a small fee.
