When it’s gone, It’s gone!

Classic Blue Is Pantone Colour Of The Year 2020

Inspired by the vast and infinite evening sky at dusk, the timeless and reassuring colouring of Classic Blue has been selected as the Pantone Colour of the Year 2020. Living Coral, Pantone’s peachy pastel pick for 2019, was more Miami Vice than The Sky At Night.

Pantone, a global leader in the science and technology of colour, highlights one colour every year that is heavily influencing designers, brands and culture around the world at that moment in time. As for home decor, Classic Blue is already a firm favourite for furniture designers and homemakers.

“Classic Blue injects creative confidence into interiors, transforming a space through unique colour combinations and tonal statements,” reveal Pantone’s colour experts. “Easily applied across so many different materials, textures and finishes, Classic Blue is a dependable blue that can take you in different directions expressing tradition and elegance as well as unexpected boldness.”

“Classic Blue is a solid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on,” adds Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute in the USA. “It is easy to understand why we gravitate to colours that are honest and offer the promise of protection. The trusted PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue lends itself to relaxed interaction.”
